EMLI™ Electromagnetic Level Indication Systems
In the field of measurement/control of molten metal levels and slag
detection, the EMLI™ systems and technologies are recognized as a
world leader.
Throughout the world, EMLI™ systems have established a reputation
for reliability, efficiency, cost effective operation and customer
satisfaction. Our customer list is extensive and includes all major steel
producers.
The EMLI™ technology was originally developed by Studsvik AB of
Sweden in the late 1970's as an offshoot of research to develop a method
for testing nuclear fuel rods. During this research it was
determined that this technology could be utilized for the measurement of liquid
steel and for the detection of slag. Studsvik then formed a subsidiary,
Metal Process Control AB (MPC AB), to develop, support and market these systems
to the global hot metals industries.
Since the early 1980's MPC AB, located in Nyköping, Sweden, has been
offering the EMLI™ line of products to the global market through it's
worldwide network of authorized distributors.
MPE-US is proud to offer sales and support of the EMLI™ product line
to the United States and Canadian markets.
Currently the EMLI™ technology is utilized for two different
functions, the indication of liquid metal level and detection of slag or iron. Select a

The EMLI™ technology is extremely versatile. If you don't see
your specific application here then give us a call. It may be possible to
adapt the technology to your application.
