This L.M.F. roof was installed four and one half
years ago. The roof has experienced no leakage and caused no downtime
of the furnace while installed. The roof was removed and thoroughly
inspected after two and one half years of operation and found to be in
perfect condition. During the inspection the spare roof was installed
and has been in operation for two years without any leaks or downtime.
The original roof is being kept as a spare. It is important to note
that Avesta has experienced virtually no slag adherence with this design.
