Other Paneltech Applications

The Paneltech rolled hollow section construction technology is extremely versatile and can be adapted to virtually any water cooled application. The following are examples of some of the various installations where the Paneltech technology has been successfully applied.

Stainless Concast Panel

Installed at Stocksbridge Engineering Steels. This unit has been developed using stainless rolled hollow section which enables the equipment associated with the Concast withdrawal rolls to be protected from the radiated heat.

Furnace Roof Panel

Water Cooled Tunnels

This important area is at the slag opening in the furnace. The tunnel or arch is constructed with RHS. Paneltech tunnels. These are located on the furnaces of Rotherham Steels and Stocksbridge Steels and have operated without any leaks for many years.

Ladle Arc Furnace Roof

This oval roof is constructed in rolled hollow section, showing the versatility of this material when used in the manufacture of water-cooled components.

Fume Offtake Panel

Roof panels can be designed to fit any existing water-cooled roofing spiders.
