WADECO Micro-Ranger
GeneralMWS-10RF Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar level sensor offers the latest in microwave sensor engineering in relation to radar distance measurement under the most extreme conditions. Utilizing all the latest advances in technology, it is quite literally the most advanced, of its kind, in the world. Using the FM-CW measurement method, combined with circular polarized [rotary] microwaves, high performance components, fast intelligent signal processing and high tech user friendly mWave™ Software a highly accurate, extremely stable and reliable level measurement is achieved under the most adverse of circumstances. The sensor consists of an antenna connected to the controller by circular waveguide tubing. The heat resistant antenna is installed in the high temperature zone, while the controller is located in a room temperature area allowing the sensor to make accurate measurements in high temperature areas without special cooling. The MWS-10RF FMCW Radar is best suited for difficult level sensing applications in the Iron and Steel making industry, such as Blast Furnace burden profile, pig iron in Torpedo Car level measurement whilst tapping, BOF bath level, ladle freeboard in hot metal ladles, coal level in the Coke Oven, coke level in CDQ, crash avoidance systems for Quenching Cars and much more. Other applications include level measurement in all types of furnaces such as municipal, industrial and nuclear waste disposal facilities, fusion furnaces and reactors. Special Features
The Micro-Ranger's versatility allow it to be used in large variety of measurement applications. Working closely with your company, our application engineers can design a Micro-Ranger installation that fits your measurement needs. Here are just a few of the many applications currently using the WADECO Micro-Ranger:
Torpedo Car Level Measurement
Basic Oxygen Furnace Bath Level Measurement
Coke Oven Filling Measurement
